What If My Child Does Not Speak English?

We understand that language can be a barrier for some students. Tailored language assistance is available to help non-English speakers build the skills needed for the program. This preparation may begin up to six months before the core pathway.

How Much Does the Program Cost?

Academic Pathway — $450/month: accredited K–12 curriculum, an individual learning plan, certified teacher instruction, assignment review, progress reports, advisor support, parent communication, and graduation planning.

Scholar Pathway — $700/month: everything in Academic, plus monthly advising, AP and Honors planning, advanced monitoring, portfolio development, testing support, college-readiness planning, and priority teacher support.

Global Excellence Pathway — $1,000/month: everything in Scholar, plus a dedicated success coach, college admissions strategy, scholarship and essay support, dual enrollment planning, career exploration, family meetings, and a customized graduation roadmap.

What Is the Necessary Time Commitment for My Child?

Academic Pathway: approximately 2.5 hours of live Zoom instruction and about one hour of homework per day, five days per week.

Scholar Pathway: the same core schedule, plus two additional projects, competitions, or Olympiads per month—approximately 6–7 extra hours monthly—and testing preparation.

Global Excellence Pathway: all Scholar components, plus approximately 10 additional hours per month for individualized college advising and planning.

Where Are the Teachers From?

Most of our teachers reside in the United States and speak more than one language. They are highly trained, experienced professionals who teach full-time.

How Can I Connect?

Students connect through the BSE online platform. Live classes are offered in two scheduling rounds, allowing students to combine BSE with a daytime school or study through BSE as their primary program.

Does My Child Receive a Diploma?

Students who complete all Brooklyn School of Excellence graduation requirements can earn a U.S. high school diploma issued by Brooklyn School of Excellence, a Cognia-accredited school.
